North Devon Model Railway Club
Club Secretary. G. C. Drew, 14 Fairlea Cresent, Northan, Bideford, Devon, EX39 1BD
We are still only a very small club with only five members at present. Despite this we still manage to to build a new portable layout every four years and exhibited them at the Bristol Exhibition (26 times now) winning the coveted Bristol Buffer 7 times. Our most recent layout ‘Porth St John’ was shown at Bristol in 2008 incomplete, so this year we hope its complete. Because of the loss of our clubroom in 2007, we generally meet about once a month in one of the members house’s (not really convenient), but it is cosy & there is plenty of refreshments. Anyone interested in visiting us can contact our secretary on 01237-470377.

Pontypridd Model Railway Club
Club Representative. R. L. Evans, 4 kings Street, InclineTop, Abercyon, Mid Glamorgan, CF45 4UW.
We are now based at the outlying village of Ynysybwl, in a former Army Cadet Force hut on the old station site. We have a four line OO gauge test track available for members with DCC and DC. Space
is very restricted, but a small group continue to refurbish and rebuild OO-9/HOE layouts in one corner. Most members model in N gauge and HO/OO , layouts have been built to represent British & North Americans operations in both these gauges. Overdue for refurbishment is a European layout with a working overhead electric system, which is actually the only Club layout proper. We have available for exhibition some eight layouts built by members. The current project is the construction of a universal fiddle yard, to enable
a number of terminus -fiddle yard layouts to offer continuous running, which always attracts visitors, especially the young. We also have a reasonable library of books, magazines and video tapes. Tea and cakes are usually available at our regular meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays from approx 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Visitors are always welcome as are new members. While we are content in our present Club room we would welcome the opportunity to move back into Pontypridd. If anyone can help find suitable premises, please contact our Secretary.
