The club now has more than 50 members, some of
whom travel over 40 miles to attend club evenings on Tuesday and Thursdays each week. Members have a wide range of interests in most scales and gauges up to O-gauge, both British and North American
outline. This makes it one of the largest and most active model railway clubs in South Wales, which is now in its 32nd year, and for the past
twenty one years has created its home on the top floor of the Cadoxton Conservative Club, Vere Street, Barry, CF63 2HU. The Con Club allows
us to use almost the entire top floor, so that
several permanent layouts have been built in the clubrooms in N-gauge, OO-gauge, HO-American and O-gauge. Several of these layouts span more than one room. In the past few years we have created an
extensive, well-equipped modelling room, in addition to a
spray-boothroom. Members are encouraged to develop their modelling skills through sharing expertise with others. The club also has an annual
Open Day in October/November each year, and this year will hold an exhibition in Penarth on July 19th (see separate advert).
Regular meetings are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening in the clubrooms from 19.15 onwards. Visitors are very welcome on any club night - there is always something running. www.bpmrc.org.uk
