Stand 29 - N Gauge Society
www.ngaugesociety.com

The N Gauge Society caters for the needs of all those interested in N gauge, and has done so for more than 40 years.  During that time it has expanded until it now comprises over 5,000 members throughout the country and abroad.  It produces a Bi-monthly journal (which is free to members), markets a range of exclusive wagon kits, has its own mail order shop and supports a national network of area groups.  If you have an interest in N Gauge, then the Society is for you.  Instant membership (which allows you to buy the wagon kits, regalia and back number journals etc) will be on sale from the stand.  For further information or an Introductory Pack (£1.50 by post only) please write to:
N Gauge Society, 17 Toll Bar Road, Chistleton, Chester, CH3 5QU.
Stand 30 -  EM Gauge Society
www.emgs.org

The EM Gauge Society Stand will be manned by members of the North West Somerset Area Group who will be demonstrating various aspects of EM modelling.
Not heard of EM? It stands for Eighteen Millimetres and the society was created to promote and cater for railway modellers working to a scale of 4mm/ft and a track gauge of 18.2mm or the more demanding Protofour standards (P4) and a track gauge of 18.83mm.
The scale of 4mm/ft is the same as ‘OO’ but EM standards replace the under scale 16.5mm track gauge with specifications that more closely resemble the prototype 4’8 ½” track gauge. OO/4mm accessories available for creating your layout are equally suitable for modelling in EM.
Rolling stock and locomotives offered by the likes of Hornby and Bachmann as well as kits supplied for 00 can generally be converted to run in EM using components supplied by the Society and basic tools.
