It is with much sadness that we have to report the death of Don Dickson. He died peacefully in hospital on Tuesday 9th February 2010.
Don has been a Member of Nailsea Model railway club for many years, and had been Club Secretary, as recently as last year. His knowledge of model railways was extensive, and his opinion was always valued. He modelled in ‘N’ Gauge and ‘OO9 narrow gauge, and exhibited his layouts throughout the area, and also as far as Portmadoc and Redruth. He was a member of the ‘N’ Gauge society, and was leader of the North Somerset Area Group. Don will be a great loss to Nailsea Model Railway club and to all those who new him. Nailsea club intends to remember him by dedicating a new Club trophy in his honour.
